This is my vision for you: a life free from the stress of past trauma. Healing and change that lets you live fully in the present moment. Peace, clarity and a sense of self-mastery and self-love that you may not have felt in a very long time.
As a trauma-oriented therapist, I work with people whose past is negatively impacting their present. This includes first responders, abuse survivors, and others who find themselves struggling after a painful experience. I also specialize in Maternal Mental Health, working with women and their partners to help them thrive in parenthood.
What to expect from therapy
Together we’ll explore the physiology of trauma: what’s happening in your brain and body, and how it can lead to suffering. From there I’ll help you release anything that is no longer effective or helpful in your life. You’ll reconnect with your deeper self, and can expect to find relief and – ultimately – peace.
My primary mode of therapy is Rapid Resolution Therapy. This is a gentle and effective therapeutic modality that resolves trauma in as little as one session. Because the root causes of problems are pinpointed and cleared, positive changes endure. Negative emotions and destructive behavioral patterns are eliminated.
Unlike other forms of treatment, with Rapid Resolution it is not necessary to relive past events or experience any pain. This type of therapy leads to dramatic improvements in thoughts, feelings and behavior. Depending on your own preferences and the path your healing journey takes, I also offer short-term solution-focused talk therapy (4-8 sessions), in which I use Cognitive Behavioral or Dialectical Behavioral therapy techniques.
My style and background
As a therapist I am warm, open and professional. I do serious work, but with a sense of play and creativity. My clients tell me this playful approach makes the therapeutic process enjoyable, as well as effective. I do this work because I love seeing, experiencing and helping people to change, succeed, and grow.
I am deeply committed to learning and growth, for both myself and for others. This commitment guides the work that I do. Most importantly, my work is guided by the needs of my clients. Along with Rapid Resolution, I use Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral therapy, mindfulness and expressive arts. Each session is different, and we will work according to what will best serve your healing.
I received my Master’s of Clinical Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014. I am a registered clinical social work intern working towards licensure. I have been in private practice in Cape Coral, Florida since January 2016.
